How to connect frames to each other using the snapping tools?

beCAD® offers two tools to easily snap frames together, ensuring your frames are perfectly aligned in beCAD® web.

  1. Point-to-point snapping
Enable point-to-point snapping by pressing N or by clicking the icon in the upper-left corner.

When this mode is active, hovering over a product will display green dots on its corners. To snap objects together, select a dot on the object you want to move, then select a corresponding dot on another object. The products will automatically snap into position.

  2. Surface snapping – recommended for curved frames, LEDskin E, covers
While point-to-point snapping connects objects via corners, surface snapping aligns them using surfaces.
Enable surface snapping by pressing N twice or by clicking the icon.

When active, hovering over one of the sides of a product will display a green arrow. Click the arrow on the object you want to move, then select a corresponding arrow on another object. The objects will snap together automatically.
