I'm getting a quotation error. What should I do?
When generating a quotation, you may sometimes receive an error. This can have different causes, depending on your project setup.
Before submitting a ticket, please check the following common causes:
- Your quotation has a name assigned
- Your project contains Cover Lightlines with a valid sales length
- Your project contains a valid LEDskin® configuration
If none of these situations apply and you are still unable to generate a quotation, please submit a ticket through our forms and we'll investigate the issue.
Confirm if you have give your quoation a name:
Sometimes a quotation cannot be created because no name has been assigned to it yet.
If you try to generate a quotation without adding a name, beCAD® will show a notification in the bottom-right corner of your screen, reminding you to add one.
Add a name to your quotation, and try generating the quotation again.
If you have Cover Lightlines in your project:
Cover Lightlines are available in five standard lengths. However, they can be cut in increments of 31 mm.
In beCAD®, you can scale your Cover Lightlines in these increments. However, the scaled length is not yet automatically converted to the closest available sales length. If the selected length does not match one of our available sizes, this can cause an error when generating a quotation.
How to fix this:
Check which available sales length is closest to your required length. You can find the available Cover Lightline lengths on our website.
Adjust the length in your beCAD® project, save your project, and try generating a new quote.
If you have LEDskin® in your project:
LEDskin® is sold in flightcases containing 8 tiles. However, when creating your project in beCAD®, you can draw LEDskin® tile by tile based on your required setup.
Currently, beCAD® does not automatically convert the number of LEDskin tiles in your project to the closest available sales configuration yet. If your project contains a number of tiles that does not match the available sales configuration, this can cause an error when generating a quotation.
How to fix this:
Disable the LEDskin® tiles from your quotation and send the quotation together with a request for the additional LEDskin® quote to your project leader. They will then be able to complete the quotation for you.
No Cover Lightlines or LEDskin® in your project and still receiving an error?
