What is the ECO+ finish?

ECO+ is the name bematrix uses for the mechanically brushed finish of its aluminium frames. Introduced as an alternative to anodising, this process gives the aluminium a brushed appearance without anodisation or an added coating.

We chose this finish because mechanical brushing provides the appearance we want while allowing us to omit the anodising process, including its chemical treatment baths and associated energy and water use. Brushing still requires resources, but the electricity used at our production site in Roeselare comes from our solar panels and certified renewable electricity purchases.

The name ECO+ refers specifically to this surface finish. It does not mean that the frame has no environmental impact.
