What elements in the life cycle analysis are being taken into account?

The carbon footprint is based on the following product life cycle: cradle-to-customer plus end-of life

The following emissions were accounted for across the life cycle stages of the product: 

 

  • These stages align with a cradle-to-gate-with-options scope, covering upstream (A1–A3) and downstream (C) life cycle stages as defined in ISO 14040/14044 and EN 15804.

    Extraction and pre-processing of raw materials and packaging 
  • Transportation from supplier to manufacturer 
  • Production of the final product 
  • Delivery of the product to the first customer 
  • Disposal processes for the product and its packaging

    Stages not included in this assessment — such as the use phase, transport between customers, and reuse — are outside the defined system boundary and are explained in the accompanying Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).
