What are Scope 3 emissions?

Scope 3 emissions are indirect greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that accur throughout a compant's value chain. They include both upstream and downstream activities.

  • Upstream emissions: Indirect emissions related to purchased or acquired goods, services, and inputs before they reach the reporting company.
  • Downstream emissions: Indirect emissions related to sold products, services, and activities after they leave the reporting company.
