Starting A New Project
Now that everything is set up, it’s time to begin a project. We do this by using the New Project button. This will start a macro that will ask and store the basic information for your design.
Inventor will ask you to choose the client or create a new one and then give an (optional) order number and project name.
After this a new file will be created under the client's folder in a new subfolder by the [order number] [project name] syntax. This will make sure that each project will get its own unique subfolder to keep things organized.
The new file will open in Inventor where a floor will be present. We can immediately change the floor size to the dimensions that are available for the project.
One the floor is specified we can begin setting up frames.
